The Gordon Duern "CIRCA 75", 701 Stereo model.
This is a rare vintage Electrohome Stereo that is a true Mid Century Modern piece of art designed by Gordon Duern. It is sleek and sophisticated and is in pristine vintage condition. It boasts cantilevered aluminum bases designed after the Herman Miller's action office line. This walnut beauty has a "Dual 1010 A" or "1015 F" turntable that is in working condition.
The dials on the 701 are round, with black and chrome detail that look like they belong in a spaceship.
The 701 looks more like a beautiful piece of furniture, sparse and elegant. It was promoted as a pedestal for objects D'art with room inside for 75 records or another component. A roll top door preserves the unit's long low silhouette.
Only about 6000 of these units were sold.
