The Interior is like a 8 of 10, the pass seat has a toonie size whole. It could use covers in the front for it to be perfect.
Rear seat is good, new carpet new headliner no cracks in dash. It has a new trunk liner in a perfect trunk, no rust at all. It was a southern car and it has no rust anywhere except for the bottom rear corners of both doors, area smaller than a credit card.
Whisker seals and Trunk seal are new and have an order pending for all the other weather striping for doors etc. Pending because I ran out of funds last summer.
A good body man could spend max two or three days on the body and it would be ready for paint. Under carriage is clean. I have everything to return it to original condition.
I have never checked it but the guy I got it from says it's all numbers matching. I've seen these cars go for 30 or 40 g's when restored back to original condition.
I had thoughts of cloning the 390 4spd model but decided that was way out of my budget. If you research this car you will find it to be a very rare car. As cool as it is I am not big on the Ford line and I haven't been able to connect to it affectionately If you know what I mean. The dollars are not as important as the car to me and if someone had come to me with the right car worth less I would trade straight across. Anyway here are the things I know about it and have done to it since I've had it.
Engine is a 289 with a mild cam converted to electronic Ign, Edelbrock medium rise manifold and new 650 carb.
Trans is a C4 rebuild with a stage two shift kit.
BnM floor shifter.
Headers and complete dual Magnaflow exhaust.
New shocks front and air shocks rear, also replaced the Main leaf on both sides with a re-arcing.
Brakes done last summer all the way around.
